van cycling4all, die weer veel uit de Belgische kranten heeft:
Quick Step - co-sponsor from Mapei - wants to continue “alone”. If 50% of the present riders of
Mapei-Quick Step are staying with the new team, they keep all UCI-points of this year.
But the Belgian press is full of rumours:
Kevin Hulsmans (Bel) is close to Domo - Danielle Nardello (Ita) can go to US Postal Service
while Oscar Freire Gomez (Spa) is going back to Spain with iBanesto.com and ONCE-Eroski
as the main candidates. Paolo Bettini (Ita) could become “road-captain”of Lampre-Daikin
Stefano Garzelli (Ita) can go back to Saeco - Andrea Tafi (Ita) can finish its career with Cofidis
and Cadel Evans is in the picture with Team Telekom.
Lotto manager Christophe Sercu has a meeting with riders and other members of the team
next Saturday. He wants to keep the core of this years team also next year. But as mentioned
earlier Mario Aerts (Bel) will probably go to Team Telekom while also other riders seems to have
nice offers like Peter van Petegem (Bel), Serge Baguet (Bel) and Rik Verbrugghe (Bel).
US Postal seems to be interested in the trio Nico Eeckhout-Hans De Clercq-Glenn D'Hollander
who can assist Tom Boonen in the classic races
Interessant …
